A bit faster than the "classic" version.
John sings: "Here I Am on my nose begging if you please ..." instead of ".. on my knees ..".
It's not an error, it's a joke as it repeats it several times.

The two Hamburg Performances of A Taste Of Honey feature many resemblances yet they are completely different.
They both feature one of the boys (John ? Ringo ?) singing "Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba Baaa" before the song.
They both feature private jokes by the Beatles or the audience during the song and at one time (on the unedited version) this makes Paul laughing while singing.
However, the two versions are completely different because one of these has an extra verse that is unique on all the survived versions of the song.

This version is in fact an edit of two (or more ?) versions.
The spoken introduction by Paul is completely different than on the unedited version although some parts are common to both versions.
W/o extra verse

Reviews

Review by: François Vander Linden, ftilleul@infonie.beOn
This CD is a good compilation of the 1962 new year's eve show.
However some songs are missing: "Red Hot", "Hully Gully", etc. Also are missing: other versions of "Matchbox", "I saw her standing there", "Ask me why", etc (available on "Live At The StarClub (Sony))

Despite of that, this bootleg really has the most interesting tracks from that show.

Final review: buy it.
Review by: Brian Graves, henrythehorse@hotmail.comOn
Collects all legitamently released songs from the 3 Star Club shows in December 1962. Unfortunately, much of the between-song dialogue is either cut or non-existent. Also, the song orderering is chopped up and doesn't reflect the set list of any of the 3 shows. To top it all off, songs have been equalized, speed alterered, and edited to cover up missing/damaged tape. The only non-altered tape to show up on bootleg (and feature unavailable material!) has been the vinyl "Mach Shau!" release. However, it looks like Silent Sea Productions has released a slew of early Beatles recording in chronological order that includes ALL available Star Club performances...reconstructed and complete!

I will trade these live recordings for Phil Collins(But Sencerely) and Fleetwood Mac's (Rumors).
