Disc 2 begins with a version of “Crippled Inside” with simple instrumentation (the piano of the officially released version is missing for one while George’s dobro playing is very simple). This is followed by a lovely take of “Oh Yoko” with superb bass playing by Klaus Voorman and a more subdued singing by John than in the version from “Imagine”. This is followed by an early take of “It’s So Hard” and various studio outtakes; a highlight among the latter is an interesting outtake of Happy Xmas (War is Over)” by virtue of the absence of the choir used in the officially released version. The last track of the disc is quite bizarre: it consists of more than 4 minutes of nothing but laughter.

There are 18 tracks on this cd, with Meat City studio outtake appearing between Out The Blue and Rock And Roll People. The outtakes are clean for the most part, and Happy Xmas (War Is Over) without the choir makes this disc worth having by itself. 5 Stars
