This album is worth having just for the incredible steel guitar version of Marcella. Otherwise, there is not a single bad track on this disc. I wonder if this disc was "improved" in some manner. The Beach Boys don't normally sound this good live.

Agreed. The addition of ex-FLAME members, Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar, really sparked up the band when they joined for the couple of albums and tour. I cannot believe this album isn't on the chart whenever any magazines hypes the "100 best live albums ever!!!"
What really I find interesting is the vocals of Mike Love which sound energetic, at the time Mike did a lot of fasting and meditating, you would imagine him to be plum tired out.

I agree with dumangl, this is a really nice "LIVE" Beach Boys collection. Marcella shines, as does Funky Pretty, Caroline No, We Got Love, and Sail On Sailor. The band has added punch with Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar(who would later play with Bonnie Raitt on her "Greenlight" LP, and of course he was a Rutle in waiting). Plus Carl also seem to have an extra spark. My only gripe is no "Student Demonstration Time". Very enjoyable "Live" album in any case.

The best live Beach Boys album, BY FAR. Proof that the boys could actually rock at one point, even if it was just for a brief while. This disc is probably the only point in time when you could say, "no Brian, no problem."

The Beach Boys In Concert.

Probably the best live album of the Beach Boys career.

Wonderfully recorded on tour by the Record Plant-Stephen Moffitt, and Brother Records-Paul Lewinson.

Great cover shot of Dennis Wilson front of the stage.

There is a bit of a debate as to recording concert locations.

The remastered version credits winter 1972 tour and summer 1973 tours as track sources.

No other track detail information is listed.

Sure sounds like the summer 1973 tour lineup.

Sound is excellent, and performances dynamic and inspired.

Get it....you'll love it.

Highly recommended......
