This follows the posting of The 11 minute version of Revolution that first showed up about a week ago. I noticed that the 11 minute hasn't shown up her so I figured to just skip ahead and share the whole thing. Anyone who grabbed this already feel free to jump in and help seed. Get this one if you can! The 11 minute Revolution is worth the price you pay. Not to mention the sessions for 'Come & Get It' and 'No Escaping Your Love'. If you're a Badfinger fan (like I am), This is well worth the time and effort to find this! Hopefully, there will be more sessions from Badfinger to turn up! An all around great CD set!

"Revolution 1," the selling point of this set, runs WAY too slow. So you'll need to fix that yourself or find a speed-corrected version as a download. Finally some new Beatles worth talking about.

Oh my God, this new material is incredible, get it if you can, i just have to get an original copy of "butcher's album" in stereo Vinyl, and now this!!!, very expensive if you want to buy it original copy, but it worth, now i think im goin to jail because my credit card is full and i dont have money to pay my butcher's copy and now this jewel, but, u know?...I DONT CARE.!!!

The 11 minute Revolution pay the high price of this album. Very very great item. The version with speed-corrected is incredible. In the Mark Lewisohn's Recording Sessions book is possible confirm the session for Revoluiton 1 tk. 20 including sweet details. Thanks, Clįudio Teran...

Track number 1 is way too slow. The actual lenght of this song is 10:46 not 11:35. A speed corrected version has been released.

Not really a review of the boot as such but...

The 10:46 version of Revolution is truly amazing. Makes you wonder what other White Album outtakes are like, when they were at their all-consuming creative peak.

Mama Dada!

Really not a lot here.
On disc 1
Revolution 1 is incredible.
The rest of the Beatle material is slightly different
mixes but nothing earth shattering. A nice listen.
Step inside Love was already released and is re-hash.

Disc 2 is boring.
There are some interesting tracks of Come And Get It
and No Escaping Your Love but you get bored fast.

I just listened to track 1 and only this one is worht the 10 stars rating.
Allthough... I have this strange feeling I've heared it before (I mean Revolution take 20). Could it be the BRG on one of their Tuned To A NAtural E compilations?

Found it out by waking up a little: TTANE or other remix compilations has the compilation of monitormixes from take 20. This one here on the knickers boot is the Real McCoy... Sorry if I've confused anyone.

This is real, so real in fact EMI made you tube take it off their site, listen to it then listen to rev. #9, you'll see where alot of the sound bits came from.

great set indeed and i agree with studiowizard about the john lewisohn's book.
you have it all there for the session
a must have for the book and the discs
Review by: heyrickyOn 18 Mar 2009 at 20:17 CEST
The second disc is worth a listen (if you can make it through) and the 1st disc you really only need the speed corrected "Revolution", I am so happy I didn't buy it.
Anybody have better scans of it?

The first cd is very good

Fortunately I picked this 2 CD Set up for free on the internet. Revolution 1 (Take 20) was speed corrected from CD 1. Tracks 1 + 2 of CD 2 are needed for the Paul McCartney guide vocals with Badfinger's backing. 3 tracks for $75., I think not.

I believe this is the genuine article of Revolution (I) take 20. Anyone possessing John Lewisohn's book "The Beatles Recording Sessions" can follow along on page 136 and listen along to exactly what is described. Lewisohn's says in his notes that there was an unnumbered rough mono mix made on Tuesday 4, June (1968) and was taken by Lennon at the end of the session. Also stated by Lewisohn was that there was one more superimposement (overdub) while the reduction mix of take 19 into take 20 was being made. According to him, there was no more work done to Revolution (I) until Friday 21, June (1968).
April 8th edit: There is a possibility that RM1 was cycled down so that John could lay his 2nd vocal overdub, which would explain the pitch difference in comparison to the release on the white album.
