Scan submitted/created by [derha-dun]
HQ Scans:
Publisher: Dr. Ebbetts
Reference :MFSL-1-101
Date :2000
Made In :USA
Quality :Ex. stereo/mono
Booklet & packaging :Glossy cover, 4 page booklet. A reproduction of the original vinyl MFSL LP cover, complete with the original liner notes on back.
Total duration: 33:12

Comments
A reproduction on CD of the Beatles' first UK album, as released by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs. Thermal printed legend on CD-R disc looks like a "silk screened, factory pressed" CD.
These are transferred from the vinyl releases. Only the smallest amount of noise reduction necessary has been applied.
An excellent sounding recording, when compared to the actual Mobile Fidelity releases. Very warm, clear, crisp stereo.

Edit of the three last takes recorded on 26 Nov 1962. Lewisohn states that 18 takes were recorded that day INCLUDING John's harmonica overdub, so it seems that either take 16, 17 or 18 is the harmonica overdub.

like a breath of fresh air it sure is! Seperation is excellent and individual sounds of instruments a lot more definable - especially when sitting closer to one channel or panning the ballence. Superb!

Top CD nice to have a quality copy of this album in stereo...Ok i know the balance is crap but hey it was only recorded on a TWO TRACK Machine....sounds well against my vinyl copy of the MFSL Please Please Me which is great but i hate having to arse about with my turntable/tracking etc etc etc...this now saves me the bother....EMI eat your heart out.....

All Dr Ebbetts has phenominal sound quality. I am a real vinylophile and this recording is as good as any pressing set up on a perfectly set up turn table. It will even sound great on a poor stereo. A++++++

I've had this one a while. Played it in the car today. Excellent bass, really fine sound quality. Highly recommended.
