Scan submitted/created by [derha-dun]
HQ Scans:
Publisher: Dr. Ebbetts
Reference :MFSL-1-105
Date :2000
Made In :USA
Quality :Ex. stereo
Booklet & packaging :Glossy cover, 4 page booklet. A reproduction of the original vinyl MFSL LP cover, complete with the original liner notes on back.
Total duration: 34:41

Comments
A reproduction on CD of the Beatles' fifth UK album, as released by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs. Thermal printed legend on CD-R disc looks like a "silk screened, factory pressed" CD.
These are transferred from the vinyl releases. Only the smallest amount of noise reduction necessary has been applied.
An excellent sounding recording, when compared to the actual Mobile Fidelity releases. Very clear, crisp stereo.

this sounds so much better than the real EMI cd...
I a/b'd them and its crazy...
LOUDER! and has more high end...EMI must have compressed the life out of the mixes!
the cover is just like the LPs not like the cheesy 87 EMI release!
Get these now!
EMI wheres the 24 bit Beatles CDs?

A very clean and sharp sound to a classic album. All the instruments come through clearly like the Rolling Stones' SACDs.

Here's a perfect example of why I have absolutely NO interest in the Beatles remasters.Listening to this version of "Help!" is akin to hearing a country stream running over rocks.Like all the Doc's MFSL transfers,it has an almost crystalline quality to it-an absolute joy to listen to.It's also a perfect example of the Doc's commitment to recreating the "vinyl experience" on cd,something that the "big boys" at Emi/Capitol have never understood and never will. Here's hoping he never stops...

To majomor:

Even though the Beatles albums will be reissued, Doc will keep going with his project regardless of what EMI/Apple does. I only be excited about the new remasters if Geoff Emerick, the Beatles Engineer, was involved. But still, better than nothing.
