This is THE definitive version of Revolver. That's really all that has to be said.

I have to agree with the above review! Very clean transfer from vinyl to cd. No "pop's" that I can hear. You need this cd.In my opinion "mono" makes the tracks sound warmer. Make a trade from someone today!

the mono mix of Revolver is just great - the guitars are dirtier and more in your face then on stereo - and that's a good thing! Ebbetts stereo version is wonderful as well, both ultra clean transfers with a richness and transparency that stands a cut above EMI's official cd versions.

Voted the "BEST" Rock 'N' Roll album of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine. The Doctor Ebbett version - all original UK mono mixes - uses the Japanese "Red" vinyl edition PLUS the Mono Matrix 1 edition. Although not noted in the above track listing, Tomorrow Never Knows on the Ebbett version is the Mono Matrix 1 first version with extra backwards sounds. Of course, I prefer this over the official Apple release. Like other DESS titles, the Doc has upgraded the artwork to closely match the UK vinyl album jacket.

per Doc via e-mail: Revolver from Japanese red vinyl AND the original "mono matrix" issue (the Ebbetts version of Revolver utilizes the first mix of TNK)

Perfect. As all of the other post-"Beatles For Sale" UK mono versions by Doc that I own.

Punchy, full, warm transfers... as close as we'll probably ever have to getting the Beatles REVOLVER in mono in some listenable form.

Great job. Just minimal static ticks and a nice mono sound.
Review by: 357GolfoOn 10 Sep 2008 at 20:56 CET
Simply, perfect.

I agree with the reviews above, but on my copy "Tomorrow Never Knows" is treble heavy.
Review by: The BeaTlesOn 16 Apr 2009 at 22:11 CET
for those who can't tell the difference between the two monos of Tomorrow Never Knows, here ya go:

606-1 "backward guitar, silence, and love is all and love is everyone"

606-2 "backward guitar, backward guitar, and love is all and love is everyone"

stereo "backward guitar, backward guitar and love is SCREECH and love is everyone"

Just won the bid for this particular pressing with the XEX 606-1 Matrix on Side 2. Very good sounding LP along with this particular title by Doc.
