Comments
A reproduction on CD of the Beatles' first Capitol soundtrack album. Thermal printed legend on CD-R disc looks like a "silk screened, factory pressed" CD.
These are transferred from the vinyl releases. Only the smallest amount of noise reduction necessary has been applied.
An excellent sounding recording, from previously unplayed vinyl. Very clear, crisp, warm stereo.

Like I use to listen to it ,with the music film and all, plus the artwork, and the sound so warm and yet clear and powerful.Doc makes it again. And the mono UK is better than the US , to my ears...

DR. EBBETT"S ARE THE BEST!!!! Get rid of those BEAT cd's from the 90's! Finally someone got it right, artwork and all!

I was wondering if someone could help me out...

I recently got a Capitol HELP! album on CD, and it contains the same stereo mixes as this disc. Also, the artwork is virtually identical to this version. However, some differences are that it is a gold disc, not silver, and it is labeled as a "Capitol Collector's Edition" rather than the serial number of SMAS 2386. It has 8 bonus tracks, including Help! (mono), You're Gonna Lose that Girl (w/ count in), Ticket to Ride (mono), I'm Down (mono), Yes It Is (mono), You Like Me Too Much, and more. I couldn't find this album listed on BootlegZone. The sound and graphics are superb, but is it a Dr. Ebbett release - or from a different source? If someone could please fill me in on where this CD came from I'd really appreciate it.

Dear jpgr4ever: It is now 14 years later and I just gave the Ebbett's US Stereo a spin. It sounded a bit more muddy and processed than the way I remember hearing it on Beat label. I then dug out my Beat Cd #005 and my suspicions were confirmed. The Beat CD is indeed less muddy and more crisp. Perhaps Beat used the Open Reel Tape? So DON'T throw out your old 90's Beat CD's if you still have them.
