This CD has an excellent sound but the songs it proposes are most often outfakes: it sounds as if they played the stereo version thru only one headphone.
Stay away from this disc and other Flashback releases: they are not worth the $30!

A track-by-track analysis, from memory:

1-3: same song, same (released) take, same session-tapes version used on many boots, but presented three times, and with booter-made fade-outs given each time it ends. And the running speed (and pitch) of the song gets gradually faster with each version! The first version sounded cool but had a breif distortion noise partway into the song that scared me half to death!
4. the alternate (and reverse-channel) mix from Unsurpassed Masters 3, but the opening drumbeats are distorted!
5-6. UK mono mixes
7. alternate mix (whichever one, you figure it out)
8. UK mono mix
9-11. monitor mixes
12. UK mono mix
13-14. all the demos (as lifted from Lost Lennon Tapes)
15-17. UK mono mixes
18-20. monitor mixes
21-23. UK mono mixes
24-25. can't remember which is which, but one is a mono mix, another is the semi-OOPS fake(!) that appeared on Unsurpassed Masters 3, Artifacts, etc.
26. Paperback Writer - mono, clipped beginning (now it's "perback writer")
27. Rain - mono, clipped beginning

Bought it as a three-disc box set (with "Alternate Rubber Soul" and "Alternate Sgt. Pepper/Sgt. Pepper's Magical Mystery Tour") by Flashback Records. That the set itself was called "Flashback" should cue you in to the amount of creative effort that was put into discs like this one. Mixed too loudly, with mastering errors, too little info, clipped beginnings, etc. A nice visual collector's piece (a nice photos-only booklet in the box set), but otherwise, avoid it.
If you want all your Revolver-era eggs in one basket, the 2-disc "Revolving" set by Silent Sea is currently your best bet, and is a much more interesting listen.

It's a piece of garbage but... in a beautiful can!
BTW Can anybody tell me were the title here on BZ and in other lists I've found on the Net comes from?
I mean IMHO seeing the artwork that this is called just Revolver (written on the front and the spine) and not Alternative Revolver Versions...
Who knows more?
