More great stuff from BEAT. Upgrades, alternate mixes, etc. This and SEA OF GREEN are pretty cool.

wow, the "film mix" of MMT is quite a gem! lot's of fun to listen to - very different mixes and sounds from the movie and EXCELLENT sound quality make it a valid alternative to the album/ep version.

the HDN and Help stuff is a little dissapointing in the sound quality department, but still interesting. The "more spacious" mix of Hide Your Love Away is actually quite muffled and of lo fidelity.

nonetheless, this is a great well executed boot that follows it's theme well. essential.

The highlights are the "Magical Mystery Tour" tracks. "Blue Jay Way" sounds exactly like the mono mix, when it comes to overdubs. It's all good, but YS is mono. A great beginning for movie collectors, but I suggest "Sea of Green" for "Yellow Submarine" and "Help!"
Review by: Dan RyanOn 30 Jun 2008 at 00:39 CEST
I agree with sgtmono about the slightly lower fidelity on Hide Your Love Away although Magical Mystery Tour has a much cleaner and balanced stereo (re)mix than the official EMI release.
