"Tracks 1-25 are taken from original stereo soundtrack, different mixes from released versions. Tracks 26-32: Excellent quality transfer from ABC film broadcast (transmitted as Big Beat '64). The soundtrack contains all five songs without dropouts. Although some pops are evident from mixing "ins" and out's", and physical deterioration of the film itself. These tracks have been cleaned. Enjoy."

Reviews

Review by: Gary,On 28 Jul 2000
I just picked this CD up recently, and I enjoyed it very much.First the sound is very good.Second,it is nice to have some of these alternate versions, and outtake from the Yellow Submarine movie.Remember the ending of the film where the real Beatles close the film and the song "All together now" is played as the credits roll?Well, that whole sequence is on this CD,in excellent sound quality. There are other great movie outtakes as well. The 1964 NMB pollwinners concert is also nice to have, but I don't have a clue as to the reason it was put onto this CD with the Yellow submarine stuff.I mean you are talking about a 3 year time difference.I mean the Beatles of '64 were complete different musicians from the Beatles of '67,so why put this stuff on the same CD together.Except for that one small complaint,I find the CD very enjoyable, and would say to go get one if you can find it.I think you will like it too, especially if you loved the Yellow Submarine movie.

Better than "It's All in the Mind, Y'Know" for the two movies it has, because it has the actual movie mixes. For instance, "IAMY" will have alternate, previously available "YS" mixes, but this has the VHS stereo mixes. Same with Help! Also, on "IAMY," the ending "All Together Now" is replaced by the full track. Not here! Anyways, the pollwinners is a good concert, even if it doesn't fit in.

The back cover of this release is intimidating. No review.
