"Jamming With Heather", consisting of Get Back outtakes, is a pretty damn good CD. Certainly the overall sound of the various takes is A, with very little hiss.

The most annoying problem of "Jamming" is the 'control voice' of the camera operator coming on (admittedly briefly) in several different tracks. While this serves to give the CD a feeling of what the recording sessions were really like, the operator's voice is quite loud and overwhelms the boys' singing when it cuts in.

That said, if you're looking for the kind of beatleg that is a rough cut of Beatles recording sessions, this CD is definitely for you-- the sound quality can't be beat. No particular song sticks out as a highlight in this set, it's all interesting to listen to!

Great sound quality on this disc. It takes you deep into the inner sanctom of the Twickenham studios during those days in January, 1969. The sounds of the camera men and their equipment is a bit annoying however. Another dissapointment with this CD is that the full length version of "Dig It" was not included, because it also features Heather on vocals. Besides that, this disc is an essential edition to any Beatlehead's "Get Back" sessions bootography.

fact is, once you're a beatles fan who wants to go beyond the commercial releases and find boots at all, you're going to be pleased by whatever you find. the let it be sessions were hard and sad as we know. what's interesting is that, even under those circumstances, the incidental and rehearsal music is so varied and so much fun to listen to. i like to find songs that are beatles songs that never made it to the albums. that includes songs that became solo numbers but which the boys worked on as possible beatle tunes. highlight on 'heather' is therefore all things must pass, this version featuring paul working on harmonies and bass lines. all things must pass would have been a great beatle song... and here it is. the take this hammer medley is also a lot of fun. i don't worry about the guys breaking in occasionally with "slate 2 rolling" and all that. it's not often and it's a boot from the recording session after all. favorite lennon moment: "in the beginning was !the word. and the word was 'scribble'. " i like it fine.

I have several boots from the let it be sessions, but the sound quality of this one is excellent!!! Its probably better than celluloid rock, but not as well known. Anyone who wants to be a fly on the wall back in 69 NEEDS this CD. No doubt about that. FIND IT FAST!!!

A great collection back in the days (1995, to be precise) when this material first surfaced; the highlight being the medley of acoustic songs, beginning with 'Take This Hammer'. Another good 'un is the rehearsal of 'All Things Must Pass', although I can understand why the Beatles never did a serious take of it. They needed all the up-tempo songs they had at this point, or I guess everyone would have fallen asleep during these somewhat tedious sessions. Still, the sound quality is top notch throughout, but this CD is a bit superfluous now, with all the great (or extremely boring, that's a matter of preference - personally I still find a lot of these sessions quite interesting) Get Back sessions CD's and box sets from Vigotone, Yellow Dog, Unicorn, Purple Chick and others.

This was also reissued (a boot of a boot!) on vinyl a few years later, around 1997 I believe, under the title of 'The Final Curtain'. The LP is on green vinyl and its catalogue number is 'BEAT 6', in case you're interested in looking for it.

Excellent Mono Sound, some very interesting Versions (like the Version of "I've Got A Feeling" and "Don't Let Me Down" and the very cool "Long Lost John"-Medley. Recommended!

I heard this one a while back.
Not so good save for the wonderful Medley.

The Beatles sound looped here.
Otherwise, "CoreC" only.
