Excellent insight into the true talent of the Beatles. Not only were they a polished stage band, and did they put out numerous excellent records, their in studio prescence was phenominal. The ability to compose songs on the spot and pick up and jam old classics is amazing. The only problem is with the quality of some of the tapes that are used. Feedback and engineers cues are often heard and disrupt the listening pleasure. But for Beatles fans that want to capture some of the studio magic, this is the album for you.

The greatest thing about this album is definetely the art work of the beautiful poster that comes inside of It, reminding us very much of that one found in the White Album, the songs were all compiled with great care cronologicaly speaking and behind the poster there's the whole dialogue of this entire set !!1 It's very intereting to listen to all the jokes that The Fab Four used to make at each other, just to escape a little bit from the dark and heavy atmosphere of THE TWICKENHAM SESSIONS for a change !!!! If you find the original one It's certainly worth a purchase, get It !!!!!!

A killer album of the Get Back sessions (1969)

It's great to hear obscure jams like No Pakistanis, Commonwealth and White Power. The music is loose, bluesy and rocking. Harrison plays some good solos. Some of the versions are great, like Get Back with Lennon and McCartney singing together. Admittedly there is some garbage here, but all in all it's a worthwhile purchase for hardcore fans of the Beatles.

Reflecting the cover artwork, mine has "One After 909" at the end of disc one, not at start of disc two.

This bootleg album was a highlight of the boot era in the seventies. In current days The Black Album is a mere nostalgic item. Your setlist are easily available in better sources and in correct context in collections how: Day by Day Series, The A/B Road Collection, 30Days, or Camera B Rolls Series. Thanks. Cláudio Teran...

The Beatles-Black Album....A VERY NICE PACKAGE INDEED..!

This gives the fan a deep insight into the making of the Get Back-Let It Be project.

The people who manufactured this one out-did themselves, as this one is sure to be fan favourite, destined to become a classic.

A wonderful collection of Beatles rehearsals from the making of Let It Be.

Recorded at Twickenham film studios, and the recording dates noted are quite correct when compared to other sources (Day By Day, ect.)

Many of these recordings were released in the early 1970's on vinyl by the old TAKRL-Tmoq folks under the title: Haust Az Son (Hot As Sun)and Sweet Apple Trax.

This original two-record set: Haust Az Son was one of the first to release outtakes from the Let It Be sessions.

To be sure, this wasn't the first bootleg of Let It Be sessions, that honor goes to the old vinyl boots: Get Back To Toronto and Kum Back.

But Haust Az Son (Sweet Apple Trax) was one of the first.

My copy has no manufacturing markings, even the CD's themselves are blank without any markings, but they are factory pressed, silver CD's.

Cover is simply black, with the title: "The Beatles" in white lettering, opposed to the White Album official release it is mirrored after.

Back of the cover has track listing with 4-pictures of the individual Beatles taken during the Let It Be sessions.

No other markings are on the package.

But the sound is what matters....sound is spectacular, superbly sourced from high quality tapes.

Not sourced from the old vinyl records, no pops or crackling at all....clearly from master tape sources.

Sound fidelity is superb stereo, it seems right from the mixing console.

It does include some audio beeps of cameras cuing to film, so these sessions were obviously filmed.

These tracks may be taken from the film footage soundtrack outtakes from the film Let It Be.

There is some really nice stuff here, and the package includes some outtakes not found on the original Haust Az Son records, such as the wonderful outtake: Watching Rainbows.

Also included is Paul's first rehearsal of Let It Be teaching the chords and words to the other band members.

Also included are some superb faster, electrified versions of Two Of Us.

The Beatles themselves are in good humor throughout the sessions, exhibiting none of the tension noted by critics...they really are having a good time on these recordings.

None of this set made it to the official Let It Be album, excepting John Lennon's comment about: "The Queen Says No To Pot Smoking FBI Agents..."

Sound is rich and clear.

There is also a 3-disc version of this set out now that includes a poster similar to the original poster included with the White Album.

This new 3-disc Black Album set is on Ruthless Rhymes CD's with a dog and revolver logo emblem.

The Ruthless Rhymes set is identical to this set, but includes the poster and a 3rd CD with a mix of the Get Back album.

I'm not sure if it is the George Martin mix or one of the Glynn Johns mixes, but the track list seems to indicate it is a George Martin mix.

Wonderful stuff...highly recommended....SURE TO BECOME A FAVOURITE...
