There is no new unbooted material here on this release. It is a compilation of songs that contains a cursing Elvis from studio/live/rehearsals taken from CD's like Hang Loose, Desert Storm, Brightest star, Lost on Tour etcetera.

Listening to this disc will be a challenge for those of the blue-rinse set that think movies like GI Blues, Blue Hawaii and Clambake were what Elvis was about.

This disc is for those that want to hear Elvis let off the leash a little.

The disc presents Elvis in a number of contexts. Some of them offensive, some disturbing, others downright funny.

The listing below is my view on this. If you are disturbed by The King letting a few magic words fly and the occasional racist comment then this release is not for you.

Quite a frank review of this disc can be found here: http://home.online.no/~ov-egela/bleed.html

X-rated Take
6 Feb 1976
Elvis Presley
A truly great complete take despite the language. The spoken word section has some of the most colourful language captured on the disc. Don't play this with the kids around.

As Berge (2002) states at the above mentioned website:
Audio is terrible, and if you've read Arjan Deleen's excellent interview with Ernst Jorgensen, the reason for this is that it's a fifth generation reference copy. The original tape was allegedly destroyed by Felton Jarvis' wife, due to the vulgar (and tragic!) nature of the performance.
11.
Cindy Cindy(Kaye/Weisman/Fuller)
4:13
Song
Version details available
(unidentified)
4 Jun 1970
Elvis Presley
Uncut version that includes Elvis' expletive to fade the track quickly. Runs over a minute longer than commerically available versions, and features a great solo normally cut to bits.

Personally, I don't know whether this is take one or three.
12.
Going Home(Byers)
5:14
Song
Version details available
(unidentified)
15 Jan 1968
Elvis Presley
Four attempts are made on this track off Speedway. Drum solo starts with Elvis stating "Play your ass off DJ" and finishes with a line about a defecating Eagle.

Second attempt breaks down during first verse.

Third attempt barely gets started with the drum solo.

Fourth attempt breaks down with another Elvis explective.

13.
Beach Shack(Giant/Baum/Kaye)

Takes 1-3
16 Feb 1966

Elvis' contempt for this song shines through as he tries to recite the lyrics.

Takes have since been officially released on Spinout soundtrack released by Follow That Dream.

2:48
Song

Rehearsal During That's The Way It Was Sessions
24 Jul 1970

Not much in the way of profanity, but a very funny rehearsal. Elvis makes a comment illustrating that he is obviously watching his language.

Rehearsal During That's The Way It Was Sessions
24 Jul 1970
Elvis Presley
A complete run through is featured with a return coda.

Profanity is kept to a minimum except for the urinating that is occurring in fountains and the burning piles of excrement.

Elvis seems to be having a good time.

Rehearsal During That's The Way It Was Sessions
24 Jul 1970
Elvis Presley
A complete run through is featured.

Profanity is kept to a minimum. As with a few other tracks from this session, on the spot lyric changes provide the humour here along with a feast of animal sound effects provided by Elvis and the band.

Rehearsal From That's The Way It Was Sessions
24 Jul 1970
Elvis Presley
Blues highlight of the album. Version here is almost autobiographical as Elvis sings about going back to Memphis to drive a truck again.

Language is very strong, but fits in with the subject matter Elvis is singing about.

This one is really great. My version has way different artwork: the cover features the infamous photo of Elvis getting his haircut for the U.S. Army where he's blowing the
hairball out of his palm. The guy giving the haircut looks strangely like an old version of Joe Jackson!
The song selection is funny as hell, and yup... RASCIST!
But lets face it we all are, let's not be politically correct here, everybody says things behind others' backs...
the only problem here is Elvis said it into a microphone with the tape rolling...
The peak moment is the "strung out" dialogue on stage where Elvis wants to pull the guy's tongue out "... BY THE ROOTS!"
PRICELESS.

This might be the most famous bootleg of them all except for Desert Storm. Cut Me & I Bleed is what the rest of the title says The Other Side of Elvis. This side is one that RCA/BMG and EPE doesn't want to hear. Just about on every track Elvis gets down and dirty with the cussing that he uses. I Washed My Hands In Muddy Water is the same take that is on 70's Masters and is the one that was used on the album Elvis Country and the songs ends with Elvis saying S***. But the famous takes on two songs are on here - Promised Land and Hurt. Hurt is the most famous of the two and is truely is X-Rated. One person who was there during the recording of that take says that they don't know if he was kidding or being serious. You Gave Me A Mountain on this album was recorded during Elvis On Tour rehearsals. The line "She took my one ray of sunshine...that dirty Son of a *****" is classic in its own right. That shows how good Elvis was by playing with words. The track of American Trilogy comes from the same tour as the last track. As Elvis fans are they yell "I Love You Elvis" and he says back "I Love You too". But one fan says "I Hate You Elvis" and he tells them off real quick. But the album ends with a dialogue from Elvis' most infamous concert. The date was September 2, 1974 Closing Show and Elvis was in a mood like no other and comes from the concert from the Fort Baxter's Desert Storm. With Priscilla, Lisa Marie Presley, Shella Ryan, Vernon Presley, and Colonel Tom Parker in the audience a side of Elvis was seen. But before he sang Hawaiian Wedding Song he spoke of drugs and so on. He spoke of a article that was written on him saying that he was high on herion. He says "If I find the person who say that about me, I will break your god**** neck you Son of a *****" Then goes on by saying "I will pull your god**** tongue out by the roots". But this is indeed the other side of Elvis that needs to be heard because this shows that Elvis was human just like the next man.
