Another home-made Internet album
Lines from inner cover:

Alternate Mixes I thought would sound good together...I was right, haha.
A lot of this stuff was broadcast into my living room & captured on video. These sound tracks are converted as aired complete with crossfades, early endings or in their entirely. The Smother's Brothers intro is from my oldest brother Danny who recorded it from TV using a primitive reel to reel way back in '68, simultaneously doing his best to keep his noisy younger brothers & sisters quiet, haha.

TV broadcast video sources include:
Sgt.Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (mixed by the Kool Kat himself with extended intro for fun),Revolution,Two Of Us,Paperback Writer,Ticket To Ride, Drive My Car & Hey Jude.

Video sources from Anthology include:
Free As A Bird,Lady Madonna (hotter guitar mix),Hello Goodbye,Baby You're A Rich Man(second pt),Dirty Dung,The End.

Video sources from Making of AHDN include:
A Hard Days Night(longer ending)

Lazerdisc sources from 1988 remastered MMT include:
Magical Mystery Tour,I Am The Walrus.

Lazerdisc sources from original Yellow Submarine include:
Baby You're A Rich Man(first pt).

Lazerdisc sources from Yoko Ono: Then & Now include:
Let It Be(short...very short).

Lazerdisc sources from Lennon:A Tribute include:
I Call Your Name(Ringo w/Tom Petty,Jeff Lynn,Joe Walsh,& Jim Keltner).

The songs order here flows as apposed to a boring chronological set of mixes. Therefore, this Kool Kat DIY'er Rocks! Especially when played in a car speeding down the highway.

Another early version of this disc exists which features Fool On The Hill, You Can't Do That & Help.

Reviews

Review by: Kip, kip@xcelco.on.caOn 4 Jan
The "FREE AS A BIRD" is stunningly clear. It's awsome when George nails those notes with his slide during the solo.

"REAL LOVE" kool at the correct speed & it is way kool to hear clearer vocals along with the band. A few spins of this version & you'll never go back to released version.

I'm wondering if someone knows what take of "LET IT BE" this is?

Everyone knows by now about the "titititititit" in the backing vocal on "Girl" & "fish & finger pies" but I'm digging these soundtracks from DIY & the vocals are so clear on "HELLO GOODBYE" that during the call back portion, that appears 3/4's of the way through the song, you can clearly hear John & George singing "Tit's in place of "It's" in the "It's time to go part. I swear on my mother's....

Anyway, you may also find it a little difficult to hear the "barking dog" (synthetic not a real dogs bark) intro in "HEY BULLDOG" but it's there on one channel.

"HEY JUDE" is at the fullest length I've ever heard & is void of any crowd noice which is kool.

I AM THE WALRUS remastered (sounds like yur in the same room with Johnny as he's singin' in yur ear "Yellow Matter Custared Dripping From A Dead Dog's Eye)

A HARD DAYS NIGHT jumps right in yur face & has a longer ending.

REVOLUTION is the killer promo live version & it rocks yur ass with the best mono sound you'll ever find of this on a disc.

TWO OF US is a mono mix so crystal clear you almost wouldn't think it's mono cause the bass is just fat enough and yet the guitars still have enough room to ring out. (You'll hear what I mean...)

Plus other sparkling sounding video, lazer, DVD, gems + as a special treat 4 wonderfull bonus tracks.

DIYology #1 touches all points of the Beatles career made from a privilaged & very rare library of collected soundtracks. This set, also includes plenty of cheeky soundtrack dialog from the fabs on film that jump from one song to the next. It is NOT just another internet home made cd but a 6 month labour of digital created love using digital in/out puts, the finest Lazerdisc players, DVD players, Videos suits & computor tech to ever rock one little piece of binary coded plastic. It's chock full of surprises & fun! It is highly playable even at parties (well, cept for the hidden tracks at the end, ha ha,).

And stay tuned fur soon to be finished counter parts DIYologies Soundtrax 2 & 3.

Rock the new year as a special treat from the kool kat.

I could go on about the music & quality but I'm sure you already think I'm big headed but I've heard some other homemade projects that really sucked as far as sound & creativeness & pitch & degraded generations of copied video. So enjoy yur cd & let the Beatles ROCK-ON.

It's good

Music's great, but drawings on the cover and the back are perhaps the worst caricatures of the Beatles ever. They make that hideous picture on "Last Night in Hamburg" look good. And that cover really, really, really sucks.

@ Publanski

"perhaps the worst caricatures of the Beatles ever" ???
O no, certainly (IMHO) not true:
The worst is from the Marvel comic The Beatles Story from end 1970s.
Then on no. 2 is the 1972 strip by Huip Neirinckx, published inn 1976 by Dutch fanzine Beatles Playback.
Then from 3 till 19 there's absolutely nothing
Then on 20 there's Cynthia Lennon's drawnings
and then... perhaps & maybe
there's last night in hamburg
then the jig saw puzzle by what seems to me the same artist and then....
there's the front of this cd... ??

In short: it's not too bad (let me take you down)

hari krishna
whatever you choose
choose love
everybody's gonna dance tonight
