Very nice transfer, sourced from pristine vinyl. The disc has great warmth and depth, right up there with the Ebbett MFSL and DLH discs. If you need to be a completist, this is a great disc - and it's a great option for those who just want a fantastic copy of this superb album.

A careful headphone comparison of this Toshiba Abbey Road with the Mirror Spock Toshiba Abbey Road leads me to choosing -- the Millennium Red. Though it does have noticable hiss, the Millennium Red is more dynamic at the same volume as the Mirror Spock. And the Mirror Spock has noticable hiss as well.

So, the edge goes to this one -- which, so far (in my opinion), is the best Abbey Road stereo out there. (Note: Mirror Spock's Toshiba comes in number 2; the Millennium UK is actually not as good as the official CD release).

I agree that this is better than the Mirror Spock version.

The Ebbetts ABBEY ROAD U.S. STEREO album beats the crap out of these two, by far!

alessandromarinho loves to opine on subjects he knows nothing about. Here is yet another release that he does not does not actually own! So you're an Ebbetts' fan, great, we got that much Alessandro, thank you, but try to be honest when reviewing something.

notes:

All japanese red wax beatles and related needle-drops have extra bass because the japanese used inacurate monitors when mastering. This probably explains why many prefer the red wax.

Any opinion how this compares to the Toshiba Black Triangle?
