tstewart422 is wrong in his "little complaint" he assumes that the Doc "only lets the run-out groove run once" but should remember that this is the Japanese Red Wax mono, not some other release, and the Japanese Red Wax mono doesn't actually have a run out groove, (probably figuring that few had record players without auto needle lift) but instead simply plays that two seconds of sound one time in the regular way at the end. The Doc reproduced exactly what was on the record, and doing otherwise wouldn't have been appropriate.

I absolutely agree with Norman Carey. Even my dad's copy of the Japanese Red Wax Mono LP contains the run out groove played only ONCE. That's exactly how the LP was cut and Doc did not do any editing.

Dude. This rules. THIS is the ultimate version of this historic album. It's often been said that you HAVE to hear SPLHCB in mono to truly understand it. And why not? Why would She's Leaving Home have an effect on the lead vocal, but not Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds? What? Yeah, the mono is the way to go. With all of that said, the Red Mono treatment does this album more good than even the White Album. Sgt. Pepper's is known for having little intricacies and details that aren't necessarily replicated well in the UK Mono version. Maybe it's the quality of the vinyl or maybe it's because the good Doc has done upgrades since the original release. A Day in the Life, in particular, stands out to me as amazing. The acoustic guitar, piano, Ringo's toms, and the orchestra all sound better than they ever will in mono. A little complaint is that the Doc only lets the run-out groove run once before ending the album (It has been brought to my attention that this is how the LP is, so I deleted the rest of my original complaint). GET! IT! NOW!
