Reviews

Review by: François Vander Linden, tilleul@compuserve.comOn 8 Jun 1999
I wonder how much it was auctioned...
This CD is ... boring. Quality is really poor and the contents are not worth the price.

"If I fell" is the best of the songs because you can hear John making mistakes and (apparently) searching some tunes.

"McCartney Instrumentals" is really boring: you hear some notes and you try to guess what song it is.

"Tammy Tell Me True" and "The Bible Bit" are useless and not even funny.

"Raga" is the best quality track here but all you can hear is Rhavi Shankar speaking (see lyrics).

Final review: avoid it.

complete bull, excuse for the word

Only for the historical content, even if it is a bit un-historical since the tapes here are somewhere between boring and very boring!
Good for the "Please Mr Postman" and "It Won't Be Long" tracks, though I've heard them in a much better condition.
But if some night you can't find any sleep and you can't find any good way to get it, put it on and you'll dream sweet dreams!

Nice to own for some historical reasons. If you have the "Complete Home Recordings" series, you definitely don't need this. The Please Mr. Postman and It Won't Be Long versions are not making it unique.
