Its funny, but there must be more than one type version of this CD floating around the cosmos. I have a version with essentially the same title, but a somewhat different song list on it. For example, my CD has a very rough version of ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, that sounds like it was taken from vinyl and never denoised, and has someone appearing to trip over the amps. Mine also has a version of TWO OF US that sounds like John and Paul are hyped up on too much chocolate and caffeine, or something else, and the tape is quite speeded up, sounding like Alvin & the Chipmunks. Perhaps my favorite song on the disc is the version of LET IT BE, where Billy Preston plays a long church organ at the end of the song, which is mixed quite up front (on other versions, the Preston organ piece is mixed low down so it is quite hard to hear.). anyway, there must be at least two versions of this disc floating around, including the fake apple log, the fake serial number, and other descriptions provided in the information above. also, I have no indication from my disk that it is made in Korea.

I have the issue of this with "The Martin Mix" labeled disc. I think it's a great version of this album. The sound is fine enough. It was the first really good sounding copy of this album out on CD that I saw. The package is first rate. It really looks sharp. Apple / Parlophone logos look very cool!!

The version I have says on the back "Producer: George Martin" along with "Engineer: Geoff Emmerick [sic]". And is a "parlophone" (fake).

I used to own this "Martin Mix" disc. Audibly, the first 14 tracks sound the same as any "new" version taken from a "tape source" although this is supposedly taken from vinyl (even though I can't hear any vinyl noise!) I'm surprised that this disc wasn't noticed for it's exceptional sound quality when it was first released. Perhaps, because the other Get Back CDs were so crappy that this one went by unnoticed.

Unfortunately, the rooftop tracks are definately taken from a vinyl source which uses the "Let It Be" video soundtrack of the concert.

Just picked up this CD.
It is wonderful, appears to be from very clean tape sources, and doesn't quite sound as muddy as the Yellow Dog CD Get Back and 22 other songs (although that CD is a classic, and was one of the first Beatles bootlegs on CD).
This is the Glyn Johns original mix, and songs are without the Phil Spector overdubs later released.
I find this far superior to the officially released Let It Be album.
The songs are as Paul and John intended them, without the strings, ect.
Packaging is first rate, nice glossy pictures inside....very professionally done.
Cover is the unused Beatles first choice for the "Get Back" album photograph, staged to replicate the original "Please Please Me" cover from 1963, but with the Beatles aged 8-years and longer hair. Neat.
CD is labled the Martin Mix-made in Korea-eighteen tracks-promotional.
Track listing on the back is way off, but interesting because songs appear as hidden tracks. Can't be sure if this was done intentionally, but again is neat.
The last five (5) tracks are the live songs from the Apple rooftop concert on 30th Jan.-1969.
Tracks are from the Apple live concert, but sourced from the Let It Be soundtrack, as you can hear shop owners and businessmen being interviewed about the noise.
Again, my copy is very clean, and doesn't sound like it was taken from vinyl sources, but rather a tape source.
Soundboard, professionally recorded and mixed.
After the last song "Get Back" live on the rooftop, the studio reprise version of "Get Back" with Paul laughing is added as a hidden track for the last 40-seconds or so....again very, very neat.

Back cover has engineer listed as: Geoff Emerick, and producer: George Martin. Apple logo in top right corner and the EMI Parlophone logo in bottom right. All on glossy stock paper, looking like a legitimate commercial release.

All songs are soundboard quality, professionally recorded and mixed, and appear from first generation tape sources.
Super sound quality... !
All in all a very, very nice CD package.

Listen to the Let It Be album the way the Beatles intended it to be listened to....as the unreleased: "Get Back" album

Highly recommended.....

I also have the "Martin Mix" version of this CD, Made in Korea, PCS 7080 2 (p) (c) 1969 1988.

The version of "Let It Be" that stands on this disc is superior to any other version that I have heard. Far better even than the version released on the Anthology CD. My rating for the CD is based on this track alone, and I would purchase this CD just to have this track.

The rooftop stuff is sloppy and better available elsewhere, but this was the first version that I heard of that material and one of the first bootlegs I came across anywhere.

Incidentally my CD features different cover artwork than shown here, reading "Get Back with Don't Let Me Down and 9 other songs" and the back fold showing a birds-eye photo of the Beatles in the film studio.

The "Midnight Beat" version remains unbeatable.
