Edit of the three last takes recorded on 26 Nov 1962. Lewisohn states that 18 takes were recorded that day INCLUDING John's harmonica overdub, so it seems that either take 16, 17 or 18 is the harmonica overdub.

Review by: André, andrewarning@okay.netOn 9 Oct 2000
This is the first CD of a collection from the 13 Original EMI Records that were released originally by the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab on Vinyl in the 80's. First of all, the Quality is the best you can get !!! This CD comes in the best Stereo and soundquality that i ever heard and i was told, that it is sourced from the MFSL Mastertape. That maybe true because for my knowledge the MFSL Company doesn't exist anymore since last year and i think it's possible that someone took those tapes and pressed it on CD.But even if it's not so, for me it's worth every cent. The Cover Artwork also is the best that i ever have seen.It comes in a glossy cartoon sleeve and has a special plastic inner sleeve similar to the original packaging of the LP's from MFSL.
For me this is a dream that came true as i own the Vinyl series of the 80's and i even wrote to the MFSL company in the 90's if a release on CD is possible. The answer that i got was naturally negative.
The manufacturer of this CD series has spent many, many work in the whole thing and i think good old EMI couldn't do it better.
So, good night EMI, sleep tight.

Can't agree more with the above review. The quality is superb, and the sound is a little bit lighter and less distorted as on the original. The stereo panning is a little bit funny because you have to have your speakers in perfect position relative to eachother to make the disc sound good, otherwise you'll heare some strange split in the soundpicture between left and right...

I agree totally with Andr=E9. This is it. It is the best quality you can get of the Beatles official releases on CD. It sound even better than the digitally remastered One released (only for the songs that are on One and these CDs). This CDs have more dynamic good basses and a perfect sound.

I agree, but why is the publisher MFSL Fake? I own even the LP Vinyl-Version.
