Another new 2007 offering from the folks at Purple Chick. This 2-disc set highlights the beginning (before EMI contract) of the Beatles in 1957-1962.

The best sources are used in compiling home recordings and the Cavern Club rehearsals.

This is the true beginning to the Purple Chick Deluxe editions up to The Beatles (White Album) of 1968. Certainly, more to come.

The ultimate Quarrymen set in the best fidelity ever. Purple Chick does it again!

THE compilation to get for these recordings. Historcial and, to me, one of the most interesting set of unreleased recordings by the Beatles. I don't find these as un-listenable as everyone says. I'd rather listen to these than 'Get Back' out-takes anyday. The simple fact that they survived the years is astounding.

Great, but I would like the credits in the notes as Silent Sea use to do. Now I'm looking for who sings each song, who is the composer, and the publisher. Purple Chick finish the work please.

Yeah, sorry, Mr. Lobo, I retract myself, I was on drugs or something. Purple Chick put order to a lot of bootleg disaster in the web. (Excuse my english: I'm eating).
Anyway, I wouldn't put together the '57-'60 sessions with the '62 stuff: there's a lot of material between (Hamburg, Decca). It could be in a separate volume (10 nice tracks, like a "Cavern EP" or album).

A good sounding (the sources aren't that good) excellent compilation of the Quarrymen stuff. Thanks Purple Chick!

"Well,Darling" has hints of "I Found Out" off Plastic Ono Band. Anyone think so?
