As a whole this 4 CD set is great. The "White Album" stuff that the Beatles did is some of my favorites. What a rich period 1968-69 was for this band. This material and the material recorded in 1969 ages like fine wine. It sounds as fresh and exciting today as it did then. Get this set if you can as this was compiled from the best possible sources and it would cost you a mini fortune to buy the originals if you could find them.

and revolution is on kinfaus2...

This is one of my favorite bootlegs. It is a warm and inside look at how the Beatles operated. Though some people will be turned off by Yoko's constant talking through all the revolution tracks, it is in fact part of the charm. This is the recorded history of the beginning of the "great love affair" and it is nice to see Yoko being so human when putting her most intimate thoughts down on tape. Of course it's sappy, but it wasn't to them at the time! The blackbird tracks are wonderful in their completeness. Listening to the banter between John and George Martin is great. Overall, great. I don't know why the Don't Pass Me By tracks or even on this...they seem completely out of place.

Great, just great ! Don't mind Yoko's blablah at all, what's important is the music heard in the back and you can hear it pretty well actually ! Still, there's something missing in what she says: a point !
It's just the best kind of set there is to be ! You've got everything you need (if you add on top of that the Kinfauns demos) there is to hear about the white album sessions.
I've never heard before things like the "Revolution 9" acetate and outtakes of "Blackbird" and just to remind ophelius up there, "Don't Pass Me By" was on the White Album so it deserves to be on that retrospective set, even if the cuts are from the Anthology lot, like a lot of other tracks on this set. But it really just makes it completer...

My favorite Beatles bootleg in my collection. Indepth sessions with the addition of mysterious Harrison track "Not guilty" in 3 versions and likewise with Lennon's psychedelic "What a shame Mary Jane had a pain at the party". My version has the plain brown paperbag White Album parody cover and includes a miniature reprint of the alternate poster found in the Geoffrey Giuliano coffee table book BEATLES ALBUM. A must have!

THE WHITE ALBUM IS MY FAVORITE LP THE BEATLES DID ,.SO NATURALLY ANY BOOT OF THIS MAGNATUDE WOULD GET MY UNDIVIDED ATTENTION JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL DID BACK IN 1968. YOU COULDN'T GET ME OUT OF MY ROOM,WHEN THIS CAME OUT IN THE LATE 90'S LOCKED MYSELF BACK IN MY ROOM AGAIN.

Great Sound. Great Quality. It is pretty hard to get sick of Blackbird. For a Beatles Fan this is a ten. I give it an 8 simply because of a lack of variety. Call me crazy.

White Sessions is a 4-CD set, issued in two volumes.

It documents the Beatles recording sessions for the "White Album" issued in the fall of 1968.

This is the first volume, with recording dates from 04th June 1968 - 29th July 1968.

This consists of demo's, studio outtakes, and live in-the-studio recordings and television performances recorded during the making of the White Album.

Many demo's and outtakes are quite rare, including an alternate version of Revolution 9 from a very rare acetate that was John Lennon's.

There are some really great recordings in this 4-CD set.

A very nice package from Silent Sea, with all sources fully authenticated and documented.

Superb sound fidelity...probably official release quality....it's that good.

Nice color photographs from the summer of 1968 of the Beatles.

The only drawback is the voiceover talking of Yoko Ono on several tracks, as noted on the cover.

The rest is an chronology of White Album songs as they were recorded.

Superb.....
