Review by: Gary, gbeegle@frontiernet.netOn 17 Jul 2001
This is a very cool CD.The sound isn't the greatest as it was an audience recording, but it isn't too bad.The historical importance is what makes this CD great. Before I continue with the review, there is one error listed above, track 8 should be Dylan's Watching the River Flow, not Blue Suede Shoes.O.K.,what makes this CD so great you may ask?First,This is one of the few times,if not the only time John Fogerty ever played with Dylan and Harrison. It may be the only time. This was an impromptu preformance in which Dylan,Harrison & Fogerty were in the audience and were invited up on stage to join Jesse Ed Davis & the band.During a few of the songs, refrences are made to Dylan being there playing.John Fogerty sings Proud Mary this evening. He had long stopped playing this song in concert, but as he states he plays it this evening because Bob Dylan asked him to.Lead vocals on the tracks are covered by all the participants and the song selection is varied leaning towards the old rock stan!dards. So even for what this disc lacks in sound quality,it make up for it in the fact that just to have a disc that Dylan,Harrison & Fogerty appear on together is great in itself. It is amazing that this tape even exists at all.I've also heard a rumor that a bootleg video of this concert exists on the clubs security camera tape.I don't know if that is true or not.If you are looking for crystal clear stereo sound, then pass this by.If you are a true collector, for its historicial improtance, get this disc if you find it.It isn't an easy bootleg to find.

Dig those crazy left-handed guitar cats in the picture above.

I dont think this is an audience recording. To my ears it sounds like a VERY LOW GRADE line recording. The vocals sound to prevalant, and don't have that audience ambiance that most audience recording have. IMHO anyway! 8 stars for historical nature

Sound quality greatly diminishes the enjoyment of this disc.
Also everybody sounds a little drunk!
It IS pretty cool that this recording even exists though.

I love this cd. The idea that all of this talent was on the same stage for one night only, & you are getting to hear it. Wow.. Also, this I also do not believe to be audience recorded..All sound quality aside, and believe me, we have all heard worse.. Hearing them play these rock & roll classics with no egos flaring, just having fun, makes this a fun cd to listen to. I do think of this as a must for any HARRISON or FOGARTY fan.

The King has spoken.
