This is disc ONE of NINE of a 14 part UNEDITED STEREO BBC RADIO special, produced in 1973 by BBC London - narrated by Brian Matthews.

This 11 hours long radio special has now been carefully transferred to STEREO CD's from an original set of "VIRGIN" 2trk MASTER reel-to-reel tapes onto 9 cd's.

A NICE piece of music history!

This is an excellent BBC special but there are quite a few errors in the
information. Very good just the same. Quality is A-1 throughout.
Worth seeking out.

Great sound quality, a must have for a beatles fan.

"Quite a few errors in the information" doesn't even begin to sum up the glaring errors in this documentary. On track 2 alone, the announcer introduces "Lucille" as by "a very recongizable John Lennon" when it is, obviously, a very recognizable Paul McCartney. The very next track, "I Forgot to Remember to Forget" is introduced as being sung by Paul McCartney when anyone with even a passing familiarity with the Beatles can clearly hear George Harrison singing.

Interesting, maybe, as a historical document but not as accurate history. The sound quality is good, but I would not say it's a must for a Beatle's fan. If you can download it, go for it, but I wouldn't waste money on buying the discs.
