Usually when i buy a collection like this i take out the best tracks and put them on tape and then just play the tape. No need to this with this disc. Disc 3 of this 17 disc collection is fantastic, they really have put together some of the best of the twickenham sessions and for a change made a very enjoyable disc that can be played over and over. Nothing that I've seen can compare with this song line up. Great cover versions like Stand By me and the country flavored Fools Like Me to early rockers Move it and Good Rockin Tonight are just some of the standouts.
Then there are the originals, the early versions of what will become Get Back like No Pakannis are just Terrific, not to mention the original waltz like i me mine if you are unfamiliar with this material this is definately the place to start. Essentiall Listening. No Beatle collection should be considered complete with out it. I Could go on but there are 14 more disc to hear.

Before I review this disc,I have to correct one track above,Track #15 should be listed above as "two of Us",not "maxwell Silver Hammer".This is another very enjoyable CD.The choice of material is extremely varied on this disc, from new songs (new in '69),to old Rock & Roll covers,to early takes for songs that would show up on Abbey Road.I particularly enjoy the old Rock & roll cover versions on this disc. One thing I find disappointing however,on the song "commonweath" Vigotone edited out the ending where Paul starts singing "Oh Enoch Powell..." in a differnt tempo. That fuller version has appeared on many other boots,so it isn't a great lose not to have it here.To Vigatones credit, the next song "get off (whitepower)" is more extened on the 30 days set than it appears on most other boots. One of my favorite tracks on this disc is track 15 "Two of Us" (NOT MAXWELL as listed above!!!).It is done in a great fast rock style on this take, much different than the final released take. This whole 17 CD set is truely amazing stuff. Why Capital/EMI and the Beatles themselves have been sitting on this stuff all these years and still refuse to release it is a mystery to me.Probably because they know they can sell a million copies just rehashing their old hits as they did on "1" and not have to go to the trouble of digging through the vaults for unreleased treasures such as appears in this 17 CD set.It has been said many times already, but I'll say it again, search out this 17 CD set.You won't be sorry and you will enjoy it for years to come.
