I HAVE THIS CD POOR SOUND GREAT PACKAGE ADAM EIGHT
Review by: alessandromarinhoOn 08 Apr 2002 at 00:49 CEST
I don't get It, poor sound, great package?!?Unless you are talking about the ADAM VII release, because the VIGO's release is about 1.000.000 better than the ADM's one!So, this frist disc has great quality, the best to date, by the way.

This set is stark documentation of the day the music died. When Lennon finally released the album, diehard fans were deeply disappointed and even hurt to discover that he'd completely forgotten how to rock and roll. Some of the cuts here show the boozy atmosphere prevalent and just how deeply drug addled everyone involved was. Very sad.

It's a good boot, however. But disc 3, while of the period, has nothing really to do with the sessions. Check out the audience chatter during the live performance on disc 3. Who listened during the lost weekend? There was no compelling reason to any more...

This 3CD boxset is great! First CD has great quality, others have very rare & interesting material, and I'm sure, that it's more interesting than Rock'N'Roll Sessions!

This is definitively a must have.

The set just rocks. The sound is pure and clear. With this you may reconsider the Rock'n'Roll Album for the bin. EMI just did a poor copy of it. Each instruments is very clear, Trebble and bass are corrected.

what great documentation of the lost weekend and the failed (in my opinion) roots/rock n' roll album. spector + horns + drunken lennon does not equal rock. this set proves that although just has hilarious, even lennon loses his touch at times.
