A bit of a disappointment by Yellow Dog standards. The japanese YD has let the brand quality slip a bit with this release. Sure, there are some highlights here: 'Hello Goodbye (Hello, Hello)' runs a second longer with John saying "shag-a-doogie" at the very end, 'What's The New Maryjane' (RS5) is in the best quality to date, most likely from a tape source and 'Think For Yourself' is the first appearance of the complete 19-plus minute 'Beatle Chat' tape. What drags this CD down is the filler material. The supposed 'true stereo' mix of 'Love Me Do' is rechanneled, the BBC material is no better than the Great Dane or Purple Chick set and the inclusion of the supposed Paul vocal on 'I Want You (She's So Heavy)' (not The Beatles, but most likely an acetate from the Apple band Mortimer) is a glaring mistake. Let's hope YD Japan puts out better quality stuff in the future, worthy of the "Yellow Dog" name.

This cd is worth getting just for the "Think For Yourself" vocal rehearsal. The
Fabs were very funny, especially Lennon singing "do you want to hold a penis"
to the tune of "Do You Want To Know A Secret"! The cd is excellent quality
throughout.
