Friends - I got a BZ note from a certain "juanell" with this content:

"??? contact me at PowerQuee@cfl.rr.com if your up for a trade, take a look at my list i have new DVD's, and let me know..."

I hate to assume the worst - I'm holding on to a shred of naivete, innocence perhaps. But just in case there's a problem, I wanted to bring it to the Forum's attention.

Not sure what getting at Jim. I have traded with Juanell and it was fine. I think he lead some people to believe his stuff was not MP3 sourced when it was. He has since owned up to this I believe. Are you saying he's selling dvds? If you could clarify that would be great.

Actually, I got one those as well, I dont think any harm in, however Im sure he sent them to many people not wanting to trade at the current time. A harmless message looking for trades, however, he could have read profile messages before spamming it out.

I just got a

"??? contact me at PowerQuee@cfl.rr.com if your up for a trade, take a look at my list i have new DVD's, and let me know..."

message.

I'm not really looking for trades but if I were, I know of a lot of good traders that I would rather trade with.

I got the same message as well. And I have "not trading right now" warning on my profile too...

Juanell is a great trader... for mp3s. As long as you know that is what you will be getting you'll be happy with the trade.

Same for me. I refused the trade pointing that and what he has in his profile (mp3 & DVD only, minimum 20+ discs).

Agreed. His name shouldn't really be here.

I simply received his message and said no, as I don't trade anymore and I had everything he wanted to trade, If I have the time I'll help him and I don't expect anything in return. I don't even know why people made it public and more over, here in the hall of shame, people could put it up on the news part or bla, bla, bla.....

Look juanell, you're a good trader so I'll just say this to you to help your trader rating:

a) trade lossless, and
b) don't spam messages

heheeehe, people here is certainly touchy.......hehehehee, I don't mind receiving one message about trading, it even seems the poor guy has been flooding everybody's mail boxes on a daily basis.... I'll give my advice to you, Juannel, you seem to be a nice guy, you can set aside the touchy and sensitive people who don't like to receive ''spams'' on their mail boxes and the ones who don't care about it, I'll help you man, you seem a nice guy, If my friend is willing to send me the 9 original volumes of Beatles Cartoons that he has I'll copy them all to you, I'll just ask you to pay for postage via PAYPAL, which would be around U$ 10.00 to send it registered.

My best regards,
Alessandro.

P.S.: I would also start trading lossless as our m18r18 buddy advices above, in time MP3 tradings will be over.....

It's ok, juanell. I have gotten burned a bit in the past 2 years, so I was just checking. Over the years I've been told a number of times, such inquiries DO belong here - the Forum Index description also indicates that. Not besmirching you at all and I'm still glad I checked. I will be happy to trade. Thanks, everybody.
