No one recorded these shows?

I have

"The Making of Sgt. Pepper"
and
"Storytellers: Ringo Starr"

sitting on my DVR. I can make DVDs of them if someone twists my arm a little.

I recorded
"The Beatles Retrospective"

but I already recorded all of the Beatles videos that were played on VH1 and MTV those weeks leading up to the remasters being released and have them all sitting on my hard drive. The "Beatles Retrospective" had just a few of the videos I already had saved on my DVR. Also, it had Mark Goodman talking over some of the intros. Since I hate him, and had all of the videos saved already, I erased it.

"John Lennon Live in NYC" I recorded this, but it looked worse than the laser disc transfer I have, and it had the VH1 logo on it, so I erased that as well.

Is Making of Sgt Pepper in stereo?

I found it very shallow though. Seems like it was made for people with the attention span of a goldfish.

Never been able to download anything from there but thanks for the info.

HungerCity is a BitTorrent tracker for audio and video recordings of independent origin (ROIO) which have not been officially released.

So, since Ringo's Storytellers was briefly available as an official VHS cassette, it's not allowed. The Making of Sgt Pepper should be good, though. And a comp of those music videos.

why don't you try using a yahoo or a hotmail address?

That's what I have and it works fine for me.

At least on es tee you can upland anything unlike the city where hunger prevails.

I vaguely recall that supposedly there was one stereo screening that we (at TCTP) couldn`t get back then to check if it really is or something.

As I`m redoing the WANTED list I guess I should include the
"The Making of Sgt. Pepper" TV special (STEREO) or has this by now shown
up? Is there any special edition you look for? I think there were two airings,
one by the Disney Channel. Are they the same or is one more complete or
otherwise more preferable?

Rabbisaul has offered to send me a DVD of "The Making of Sgt. Pepper"!

He captured the Disney Channel broadcast. Sounds good, eh? :)

I got the "Making of Sgt. Pepper" from rabbisaul last week. He taped the Disney Channel broadcast, so in terms of quality this is not exactly the same as the one on the new DVD. Which of the two is better, I don't know. But his copy is pretty good.

Two things I noticed: the special includes unique remixes not mentioned in John's book. Just have a listen to "She's Leaving Home" in the credits and pay attention to the backing vocals, they are nowhere as up front as here.

I'll have to check it again to see how much stuff has to be taken from it that we don't list at this point.

Second: the stereo image is moved to the left, because the right channel is quieter than the left.

just a quick thought:

one side being quieter doesn't necessarily mean a new mix, it just may mean the tape copy is damaged.
this may account for the louder backing vocals on SLH.

or it may not.
